About Amber
As a lifelong Minnesotan and first generation Minneapolis resident, I am proud of the progressive values that have been instilled in me by my community. I am a 3rd generation social-worker raised by an AFSCME Union member. My mother’s involvement in the union taught me how worker’s rights directly support entire families. As a current housing coordinator with youth in Hennepin county, I have seen firsthand how city and state programs work to uplift residents. Now, my commitment is you and your family as a public servant of Ward 5.
The power of community organizing was taught to me through my time in the United Methodist Church in Mankato, Minnesota. I learned the importance of building strength within our city by spending time with my unhoused neighbors serving breakfast, having conversations, and connecting on the things that really connect us all.
My vision for the community is simple: safe communities are built from strong relationships.
